DLC INTERNATIONAL BVBA was founded in 2001 by Serge Dumon.

From the beginning, the company was active both as a management company and as a container dealer, both new and second-hand.

Serge graduated as a freight forwarder in 1990 and started working with some smaller Antwerp forwarders until he joined Ahlers, a shipping agent, in 1994. This is where he was first confronted with the Finnish short sea activities. This will have the greatest influence on his further maritime career until today. Serge became a Finland specialist and expanded his activities as an independent manager with Ecu Trans and Eimskip. In 2010 he trades the Icelandic Eimksip for the Dutch Spliethoff group with the Finnish shipping company Transfennica as part of it. Transfennica Logistics was founded for the door-to-door activities and to this day he continues to build on this company.

Besides the management activities, Serge has also earned his spurs in container trading and cabotage activities. The land of 1000 lakes is never far away and here too he is becoming a Finland specialist. He is also expanding his networks in Iceland, Ireland and Norway.

Meanwhile, Antwerp forwarders are also finding their way to DLC International for the purchase of their second-hand containers.
